Hailing from Greenville College, Kristen interned as part of the OneWay Africa team during the summer 2017 internship. Kristen describes her time as an intern as “unique and absolutely amazing.”

“Not only are the interns a huge focus (we are not just here to run and get coffee), but our spiritual wellbeing is so valued. It blows my mind that the growth of all of who I am (my spiritual life and all my skills) is of such importance to the ministry as a whole.”

During her with OneWay Ministries, Kristen had the opportunity to grow in her faith and skillset.

“The OneWay Internship program was an amazing opportunity that drew me closer to God, taught me real life skills, and gave me friends for life. This summer experience grew my trust and dependence on God as I saw Him move hearts and impact lives around the world. I now have a greater confidence in my abilities for working with others and with skills used in an office environment.

“The mentorship component helped me navigate difficult situations and encouraged me as I developed skills necessary for managing others in completing their component of a larger project. My new, real life business skills combined with a deeper dependence and trust in the Lord have proven to be invaluable assets as I continue my education and seek career opportunities.”
