In 2017, Prayercast recorded over 40 testimonies from Muslim-background believers (many of whom could not reveal their identities) for our upcoming Love Muslims project.

Shakvat grew up in a devout Muslim family. However, he was later arrested for criminal activity, and sentenced to years in jail.

“As I walked around the prison yard, I would sometimes look at the sky and curse God. ‘I know you exist, God. I know there is a hell and that you will send me there. But before that I want to see you and say into your face that you are wrong… you never gave me a chance.’ I new He heard me,” Shavkat recalls.

One night in prison, he looked to the sky and something miraculous happened. He saw a man in white looking down at him. It was Jesus.

That night, his life was forever transformed. Shavkat was eventually freed from prison and now serves the Lord.

Shavkat’s full story will be released in 2018 along with other new Prayercast resources.
