For most of her life, Liz felt called to missions. She just wasn’t sure what it would look like.

“I always had a heart for the whole world, but that seemed too broad and big.”

With no set plans after college, Liz moved back home to upstate New York. Not long after, she was introduced to OneWay Ministries.

The more she learned about OneWay, the more she wanted to be apart of it. In 2010, Liz hopped on a plane to Chicago to meet the OneWay team, but she still didn’t know exactly how she could plug in.

Then she got an idea. “I know you guys are recording the prayers of people from different nations for your Prayercast videos. I could probably record 20 people from my home church because it’s very international.”

Since 2010, Liz has helped gather dozens and dozens of recorded prayers for Prayercast.

And Liz did just that. Over the next year or two, she met with believers who hailed from various parts of the world and captured their voices as they prayed for their home country.

“I…loved recording the prayers…loved meeting international people, loved seeing the [prayer] videos come to completion.”

Those prayers helped Prayercast complete its first mammoth project: producing a prayer video for all 207 nations on earth! By this time, Liz’s excitement for Prayercast was huge.

Stepping Out

One morning Liz woke up and felt very strongly that God was saying it was time to quit her job and work full-time with Prayercast. She obeyed, and eventually moved to Illinois with her newlywed husband, Ben, to work more closely with the OneWay team.

Liz (here with husband Ben & their adorable boys) joined the OneWay team from Albany, NY.

Now a mom who juggles a toddler, an infant and part-time ministry duties, Liz spends her time writing, recording, and connecting with people and ministries around the globe.

Finding the right contacts and acquiring a usable prayer recording can be grueling work at times. But knowing that these prayers help tens of thousands pray for the lost each month helps Liz to persevere.
